Band Background

Makoto and Mizho attended Elementary School together and quickly became good friends. Unfortunately, they were put in separate classes so they rarely interacted with each other. They started Junior High School in 2000 and were reunited. They were 14 years old and discovered they had similar tastes in music. Mizho told Makoto that she had been writing lyrics and Makoto expressed his desire to start a band. That same year they collaborated on a song called "Parting." Mizho wrote the lyrics and Makoto composed the melody. However, because they did not have any equipment, the song was never fully arranged or mixed. Despite this setback, they continued with their dream of forming a band and called themselves "STEAL." They chose the name STEAL because they intended to win their fans' hearts and minds with their music and technique; effectively stealing them away from other artists.


In 2007, Makoto graduated from college. He and Mizho decided it was time for STEAL to make some serious music. Makoto had an idea to add a third band member and talked to Mizho about Yuki. Mizho agreed and Yuki was ecstatic about joining. All three of them got along quite well and they soon began recording many new songs incorporating the new sound of Yuki's guitar.
STEAL will release their sophomore CD on January 9, 2009. Entitled "The Next Light," it is sure to be a successful hit just like their first CD. Band Members

Makoto graduated from college and has been involved in music since his childhood days. He was initially drawn to the drums, but soon found he preferred the challenge of the synthesizer. Look for Makoto's official biography on the STEAL band website.

Mizho started writing poetry at a young age and branched out into music lyrics in middle school. She enjoys singing and writing lyrics. Look for Mizho's official biography on the STEAL band website.

Yuki is currently enrolled in college and landed a teaching job as well. He instructs students in the art of playing the electric guitar. He has been playing since age 10 and has never looked back. Look for Yuki's official biography on the STEAL band website.
